Doug Clapper

Tenured Automotive Technology Instructor for over 10 years

Doug Clapper Doug Clapper joined the automotive team with over 20 year’s industry experience. Doug is a certified ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) Master Automobile Technician, Maintenance and Light Repair, Master School Bus Technician, Master Transit Bus Technician, Master Medium/Heavy Truck Technician, Truck Equipment Technician, and L1 Advanced Level Specialist.  Doug received the National Institute for Staff and Organizational Development Award (NISOD) in 2012.  Doug has a slogan for his students; “You Have Got to Learn So You Can Earn.” The students take it seriously and love the hands on time they receive in Doug’s lab.  When you do something for Doug, in response he replies, “You Rock!” It is a pleasure to be around Doug because he lets you know “YOU ROCK!”   Doug loves to ride his Harley and is an avid fan of the Seahawks. Doug is certainly a 12th man and has been a season ticket holder since 1976.  GO HAWKS!

Todd Jones

Automotive Technology Instructor since 2014

Todd Jones Todd Jones recently joined the automotive team with 25 year’s industry experience. Todd is a certified ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) Master Automobile Technician, and is Maintenance and Light Repair certified.  Todd fabricated some professional training aids for our students which show off all the working gears and insides of a transmission. Todd’s favorite areas of repair are rebuilding differentials, brakes, and suspension.  Students say Todd is informative and makes sure they understand the material by using life analogies and drawing pictures on the white board. Todd enjoys playing the electric bass guitar, is in a band, and enjoys making guitars.
