Washington State Placement Reciprocity

Instructions: Under the Washington State Placement Reciprocity Agreement, South Seattle College will accept your English and Math placement scores from other Washington State community and technical colleges to use for comparable class placement at South.

Course placement recommendations and placement tests must have been determined within the previous year and are valid for 12 months from the date you received your original placement results. You must have a Student Identification number (SID) with South.

Under the Washington State Placement Reciprocity Agreement, South Seattle College will accept your English and Math placement scores from other WA State 2 year colleges to use for comparable class placement at South.

To use for class placement:

  • Bring a copy of your placement scores and the originating school’s placement recommendation to an advising appointment.

OR

  • Bring a copy of your scores to the Enrollment Services/Registration Desk in the Robert Smith Building.
