IT Services is proud to announce that South Seattle College is upgrading to Enterprise level Wi-Fi! After months of preparation, we have received the devices and are now ready to start installing.
Starting this week, IT Services will begin the process of replacing the old access points with the new upgraded versions. Each device takes approximately 30 minutes to install and configure. We will focus on replacing the ones in the Library, JMB, Tech Ed, and cafeteria first before moving onto the rest of the campus.
During this time, there may be some disruptions in service while the new devices are being installed. These disruptions should be brief and regular service will resume once the switch is completed. You may need to restart your device or log in to Wi-Fi again, using the new address called xSouthWirelessNetwork.
We are excited about the upgrade and will keep you notified about the installation.
