The primary purpose of the TRiO programs is to prepare students from disadvantaged backgrounds to successfully enter, persist, and complete a postsecondary education. In general, these programs identify low-income, first-generation, and students with disabilities and provides them the assistance, support, and encouragement necessary to enter and complete a college education.
Talent Search helps low-income and first-generation students successfully graduate from secondary school and enroll in post-secondary education.
Upward Bound provides low-income and first-generation students with the skills and motivation to complete high school, go to college, and graduate.
TRIO-SSS provides eligible students with personal and academic support to successfully graduate and transfer to four-year colleges.
