South Seattle Community College Study Abroad Program

The overall mission of the SSCC Study Abroad is to enhance the internationalization of the SSCC student experience. This is accomplished by encouraging SSCC students to seek a meaningful educational experience by studying abroad for a year, quarter or summer. The Study Abroad office provides administrative oversight for SSCC-administered programs, and for sponsored programs, as well as consulting and interfacing with non-SSCC affiliated programs. The Study Abroad office promotes study abroad at SSCC by advising students of their opportunities and assisting them in planning and arranging for the experience.

South Seattle Community College encourages students to participate in study abroad opportunities. There are a variety of programs, subjects, and costs. The programs listed on this website are managed and supported by SSCC and affiliates. Students can study abroad and receive SSCC academic credit for courses and program abroad. Each program varies in requirements and course load.

The programs listed on this website may change so also do your homework and research programs you’re interested in thoroughly. SSCC Study Abroad is here to advise and facilitate student’s study abroad experience however, it is the student’s responsibility to take ownership and leadership in their study abroad process!

Program Costs

Program costs are subject to change pending currency rate fluctuations and the number of program participants. Program dates are tentative. Also please note that most program fees DO NOT include SSCC tuition and fees for the time that you are abroad. There are various scholarship opportunities for students planning to study abroad.

Non-SSCC Affiliated Programs

Students are able to seek out other study abroad options however, it is up to the student to set it up by themselves and to reach out to their teachers on campus to see if they can get credit. SSCC Study Abroad can help to facilitate and advise this process, however do not guarantee credit transfer, quality or assurance of these types of programs.
