Student Outreach, Admissions, and Recruitment (SOAR) is a division under the Department of New Student Services. SOAR is dedicated to helping people get connected to South Seattle Community College through Outreach and Admissions Services.
SOAR provides information about South to prospective students of all ages and walks of life through:
- Introduction to South
A 60 minute presentation and tour of the SSCC campus to introduce prospective students and community members to the benefits of South! Get an overview of our campus, programs to study, funding resources, and student success resources. This is great for individuals and groups. Fill out an Event Request to book an Introduction to South.
- Campus Tours and Visitations
SOAR provides opportunities for both individuals and groups to take a specialized tour of our campus. Learn more about tours at South!
SOAR provides a variety of presentations (on and off-campus) to help you understand the benefits of a college education, community college options and resources, and opportunities at South Seattle Community College.
- Topics we cover include College Options, Introduction to South, FAFSA at South, Understanding the COMPASS Assessment, Enrolling at South, and many more! We can also create a specialized presentation for you based on your needs.
- To request a SOAR representative for a presentation, fill out an Event Request.
- Representatives for College/Career Fairs
Have an event you would like a South representative to attend? SOAR provides representation to give prospective students helpful educational information and support. Simply fill out an Event Request to request a representative.
