Personalized Informational Sessions
Set up an appointment with the SOAR department to discuss how to get started at South. In this appointment, we will discuss your individual steps to enroll in classes and introduce you to your resources. This is a great starting point to learn how to navigate SSCC efficiently. To set up an appointment, contact the SOAR department at (206) 934-7943 or email soar@seattlecolleges.edu.
Please note that this is NOT an advising appointment to discuss your classes specifically. Contact the Advising Department to ask specific academic questions.
Group Presentations
SOAR provides a variety of presentations to help you understand the benefits of a college education, community college options and resources, and opportunities at South Seattle Community College.
Topics we cover include: College Options, Introduction to South, FAFSA at South, Understanding the COMPASS Test, Enrolling at South, and many more! We can also create a specialize presentation for you based on your needs.
To request a SOAR representative for a presentation, fill out an Event Request.
Representatives for College/Career Fairs
Have an Event you would like a SOAR representative to attend? We will be able to host a table of educational information help people at your location. Simply fill out an Event Request to request a representative.
