Resources to Initiate Successful Employment (RISE) is a pilot employment program funded through the Department of Social and Health Services.

RISE will offer assistance in obtaining employment at a livable wage; through services in case management, job experience, and employment and training assistance.

Services May Include:

    • A career coach to assist with job search, job readiness, placement and beyond.
    • Free classes to develop job and school readiness; focusing on topics like resume development, interview skills, networking skills, and more.
    • Support solutions like transportation, child care, financial counseling and more.
    • The potential for paid internships, on-the-job training and other work-based learning opportunities.
    • Assistance reducing back payments of child support. 

Who We Serve

You may be eligible for RISE if you are:
    • Between the age of 16-59, and physically and mentally able to work
    • Unemployed long-term (12+ months)
    • A veteran of the US Military
    • Homeless or struggling with housing
    • Limited in your ability to read, write, speak or understand English
    • A non-custodial parent who owes child support
    • Receiving basic food assistance (SNAP or EBT)
    • Unenrolled in TANF, unemployment or SSI/SSDI

Important to Know

As part of a research study, RISE can only assign 50% of all eligible applicants. Remaining applicants are eligible for BFET employment services.*
