Welcome to the LPN to RN Ladder Program Applicant Information page

As a service to applicants to the LPN to RN Ladder Nursing Program (RN Program), this page will feature necessary information about this year’s admissions process. Applicants are encouraged to check here regularly for updates.

ANNOUNCEMENT: The application period for the 2012 summer-start RN program is now closed.

Rules for applications:

• Attendance at an RN Orientation is required before the application deadline.
• The minimum grade for each of the 6 academic pre-requisites is 2.5
• The minimum GPA for LPN coursework is 2.5
• The time limit on the 4 science pre-requisites (BIOL&241, BIOL&242, CHEM&121, and BIOL&260) is 7 years.
• The time limit on all other pre-requisites is 10 years.

South Seattle Community College selects its RN class based on a competitive process.  There is no waiting list for the program. 

Important Dates for the LPN to RN Program starting summer 2012:

• March 2012
  Notification of acceptance.
• June 25, 2012
  First day of summer quarter and the start date of the RN Class of 2012-2013.
• Winter 2013
  Graduation of the LPN to RN Class of 2012-2013.
