As a service to applicants to the LPN to RN Ladder Nursing Program, this page will feature necessary information about this year’s admissions process.  Applicants are encouraged to check here regularly for updates.

NOTE: THE APPLICATION DEADLINE WILL CHANGE FOR 2009.

Applications for the Fall 2008 LPN to RN Ladder program are now closed. Applications for the Fall 2009 LPN to RN Ladder program will be due no later than May 1, 2009 by 4pm. Applications that are incomplete or that arrive after this deadline will not be considered.

Important Dates for the Fall 2008 LPN to RN Ladder Program:

• July 1, 2008
  Applications are due to the Nursing Program Office (Tech Ed 120) by 4:00 pm.
• July 31, 2008
  Financial Aid deadline for priority consideration for Fall 2008 quarter. If you plan to apply for Financial Aid, we advise you to check with the Financial Aid office for the exact deadline and apply as soon as possible before this date, even though you will not know yet if you are accepted into the RN program.
• July 16-30, 2008  Various dates and times
  All applicants are required to take a nursing entrance exam on the South Seattle Community College Main Campus. See Application Instructions or contact Katherine Flenniken in the Nursing Office for more information: (206) 768-6889.
• August 18, 2008
  Official notification of application results will be sent to all applicants.
• September 5, 2008
  For successful applicants, this is the deadline to register and make $150 deposit.
• September 12, 2008
  For successful applicants, this is the deadline to submit important paperwork including: WA state certificate as a License Practical Nurse, current CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer, HIV/Aids training (7 hours), background check
• September 22, 2008
  First day of Fall quarter and the start date of the RN Class of 2008-2009.
• Spring 2009
  Graduation of the first LPN to RN Class of 2008-2009.

• March 2009
  Applications will be available on this webpage.
• May 1, 2009
  Applications are due to the Nursing Program Office (Tech Ed 140) by 4:00 pm.
• September 28, 2009
  First day of Fall quarter and the start date of the RN Class of 2009-2010.
• Spring 2010
  Graduation of the first LPN to RN Class of 2009-2010.
