Nursing Assistant Certified (NAC) Program

Overview of Program (Information updated May 2017)

  • People interested in this program MUST attend an orientation session to be eligible to enroll in the class.
  • This one-quarter program is usually offered four times per year - fall, winter, spring, and summer quarters. SCHEDULE to be determined (TBD) (Schedule is subject to change).
  • The NA-C program helps prepare students for the Washington State Nursing Assistant Certification test for an entry-level position in the health care field.
  • Strict attendance guidelines apply to this program.
  • The course covers providing basic care, following care procedures, controlling infections, safety and emergency preparedness, restorative care, and dealing with death and dying.
  • • Upon entry to the program, students must provide paperwork showing the required immunizations, background check, and admission to South Seattle College. Students must also provide a copy of a CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider card upon entry into the program.
  • NA-C Certification/License with the State of Washington is required for students planning to continue in a LPN program with the State of Washington.
  • NA-C program projected costs.
