Culinary Arts Photo
  • New starts every quarter
  • Our five quarters program gives you hands-on experience working in one of three food service outlets, Alhadeff Grill, Café Alki, or the Food Court
  • Program certificate consists of 12 culinary classes, 1 nutrition class, and 4 general education classes
  • In addition to your certificate, you can get your Associate of Applied Science degree by taking an additional 2 general education classes
  • Lab classes are 5 hours per day 5 days per week Chefs working in the kitchen
  • The program is a cohort model, helping students complete program requirements while developing camaraderie with their fellow students
  • South Seattle College has a very diverse campus, and a typical class includes men and women of all ages from all around the world
  • To enroll you need to meet placement test requirements or have prior college credit
  • Many opportunities for assistances in funding your education, visit and complete the short survey at Start Next Quarter
