TEST - EMERGENCY MESSAGE - TEST
South Seattle College Culinary Arts students learn food production skills necessary to operate multifaceted food service operations on campus. The program has two waited-service dining rooms, Café Alki and Alhadeff Grill, both featuring ala carte menus. The Alhadeff Grill is a more upscale dining option where students hone classic cooking techniques, the necessary foundation and building blocks for future career opportunities. The Café Alki is a bistro style restaurant allowing the students to develop contemporary international techniques and flavor profiles. Students learn hands-on cost control through the operations of the program’s purchasing and receiving department. The final quarters of their studies, students are in charge of the various stations throughout the program’s kitchens and dining rooms.
The AAS-T degree in Restaurant Production or Banquets and Catering are pathways to South Seattle College’s Bachelor of Applied Science (BAS) degree in Hospitality Management.
