The highly regarded Culinary Arts Program at South Seattle College provides students an extensive foundation of classical and international techniques, skills, and working knowledge. Our students not only learn to cook from savory to sweet for the modern palate, but gain skills in production, service and management to become well-rounded professionals ready to rise in the culinary field. They consistently win awards at various state and national competitions.
The Culinary Arts division works closely with industry leaders to develop program content. Progressive, innovative instruction in production and service surroundings is the basis for the program's renowned success.
The program also operates many foodservice operations on campus, allowing the students to acquire a multitude of skills, from high volume production in our Food Court, to casual bistro dining in the Café Alki, and upscale dining in the Alhadeff Grill.
The AAS-T degree in Restaurant Production or Banquets and Catering are pathways to South Seattle College’s Bachelor of Applied Science (BAS) degree in Hospitality Management.
