The highly regarded Culinary Arts program at South Seattle College provides students an extensive foundation of classical and international techniques, skills, and working knowledge. Our students not only learn to cook from savory to sweet for the modern palate, but gain skills in production, service and management to become well-rounded professionals ready to rise in the culinary field. They consistently win awards at various state and national competitions.

The Culinary Arts division works closely with industry leaders to develop program content. Progressive, innovative instruction in production and service surroundings is the basis for the program's renowned success.

The program also operates many foodservice operations on campus, allowing the students to acquire a multitude of skills, from high volume production in our Food Court, to casual bistro dining in Café Alki, and upscale dining in the Alhadeff Grill.

Interested in pursuing your bachelor’s degree at South? Many graduates of the Culinary Arts program choose to continue their education with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Hospitality Management degree.
