South Seattle Community College is offering a new certificate program to help students meet the needs of the modern fast-paced business environment.
The Business Information Technology Core at SSCC is designed for both for those individuals who are currently employed and would like to upgrade their skills in all areas for promotion or advancement, and for those students who would like to begin their careers or start a new one. Entry level workers earn competitive salaries and opportunities for advancement.
The innovative curriculum was designed by industry representatives from the Puget Sound business community. The program provides training for business skills in seven areas of instruction, including:
- Information Technologies
- Customer Service
- Diversity in the Workplace
- Integrated Communications
- Database and Records Management
- Professionalism and Work-based Learning
Careers
Graduates of the program will go on to find jobs as administrative and information support specialists in banking, manufacturing, human services, law and medicine.
