With two-year Associate of Applied Science degrees and shorter-term certificate options, we have a program to match your skills and passions!

Programs Pathways

AAS & AAS-T Degrees, Certificates & Short-Term Training

Associate of Applied Science Degrees

Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degrees are designed for individuals who want to prepare for immediate employment.

Associates of Applied Science-Transfer Degrees

Associates of Applied Science Transfer (AAS-T) degrees are designed for students to learn technical skills for employment, but may also want to transfer to a Bachelor of Applied Science (BAS) or to a four-year institution. Transferability of courses will be contingent on the decision of each individual institution.

Certificates

Certificate programs provide students with a set of skills to find a job or stay current in a profession. Many certificates are designed to lead to a degree.

Short-Term Training Programs

Short-Term Training programs are designed for students who wish to return to the workforce quickly, with specific job skills. Most programs are 12 weeks or less in length, with some being six-months long. South Seattle College has partnerships with a number of organizations who have an interest in hiring people trained in our programs. These programs are funded by the State of Washington and students must be deemed eligible to enroll. Assessment testing will be required prior to enrollment in classes at a Start Next Quarter orientation.
