APPLE (A Positive Parent Learning Experience) is a parenting program for families who are having a difficult time with their children or for those wishing to make parenting a more rewarding experience, please call Karen Hendrickson at 206-764-5801 for more information.
Topics include discipline, parent-child communication, stress and anger management, as well as parent and child self-esteem. Sponsored by the cities of Tukwila and SeaTac, the Southwest Public Health Department and South Seattle Community College.
Baby and Me day classes for parents and infants are offered at White Center Public Health and at Des Moines Library. These classes provide information and support for parents as well as fun activities like music and bubbles for babies. Please call Karen at 206-764-5801 for more information.
Online Parenting for GLBT Families - A supportive, interactive class where parents and parents-to-be can explore the unique challenges of parenting in GLBT households while honing skills such as listening, discipline, stress management, and other aspects of family life. The SSCC Parent-Cooperative Preschools feature a
stimulating preschool environment for children and parent education and friendship for parents.
