The Occupational Teacher Education credit certificate and AAS degree program at South Seattle Community College closed effective June 30, 2005.

The 14 core courses within that former program, approved by the State Board of Education as a course of study toward the secondary CTE certificate, were moved to non-credit and redesigned into 11 courses by an Advisory Committee of ten (10) Career and Technical Education Teachers and administrators in March 2005.
