The Seattle Colleges District is experiencing a temporary disruption in e-mail and voicemail services as of August 29. We are working to resolve these issues and thank you for your patience.

As required by the worker “right to know” law, South maintains a database of information on all hazardous products used on campus. To search this database for the ingredients, risks and precautions that apply to a particular product, all you must have is the correct spelling of the product name.

Hints for using MSDS online

  • Enter the product name on the “simple search” screen being careful to spell the name as it is spelled on the package.
  • Select “contains a match” from the pull down menu next to the product name.
  • You can enter the manufacturer; however it is easiest to leave that space blank, and select “contains a match” from the pull down menu associated with manufacturer.

If you have any trouble accessing the product information you want, please email Christa Colouzis at
