The information on this page is intended for international students who attend South Seattle College.

Many students wish to get a Washington State ID Card. This serves as proof of identification (note: The identification card is not the same as a driver license. For more info about driving in Seattle please click here) within Washington. If you are traveling, you are required to take your Passport, Visa, and I-20 with you.

To receive a Washington State ID Card:

  1. Complete the Student Request Form in The Center for International Education.
  2. Your letter will be completed within 2 business days. You will receive an email when the letter is complete.
  3. Take the letter, your Passport, Visa, and I-20 to the Washington State Department of Licensing West Seattle Location: 8830 25th Ave SW, Seattle, WA 98106-3237
  4. Receive your Washington State Identification Card. There is a $45 fee for the identification card that you will pay directly to the Department of Licensing.
