South Seattle College offers first two years of university transfer credits that apply toward a bachelor degree. Students are encouraged to finish two years and receive associate’s degree to ease transfer to four-year institution. Majority of our international students enroll in this program.

We offer the following degrees:

Associate of Arts (AA) and Associate of Science (AS) Degree

Transfer degree that is a 90 credits degree and fulfills the general education requirements for most four-year degrees in arts and sciences. To earn the A.A degree, students must achieve a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.0 or better in courses numbered 100 and above. Please review the AA Degree planning sheet. Associate of Applied Science (AAS-T) Degree

This program is offered for certain programs only. It allows students to complete a vocational/technical program and then apply his/her technical credits toward a four-year Bachelor’s Degree at certain four-year institutions as long as specific related course have been successfully completed. List of all AAS-T degrees here.

The related courses are the following:

  • ENG 101
  • PSY 110
  • MAT 102 or MAT 122
  • Additional college level electives
  • For some programs, ENG 102 and/or a college level lab science may also be required
