What I do in the CIE:

I work with the CIE team to provide vision, direction and resources for programs, services and initiatives related to International Education at South Seattle College.

What I do in the CIE:

My primary responsibilities are to recruit international students to South Seattle by working with educational partners throughout the world and to identify key partners for faculty, staff and student exchanges. I travel extensively to other countries to attend educational fairs and visit partners who represent South Seattle. His joy comes from traveling and meeting with students and parents and providing them with educational opportunities offered at South Seattle.

What I do in the CIE:

I have the privilege to build public relations with local partnership, host international visitors, build brand recognition, travel nationally and internationally, support our partners aboard, strategize our outreach efforts, provide logistic support, and most importantly I get to work with staff, faculty, administration and students at a place I love, South Seattle College.

Activities you like to do with your free time:

Being born in the Pacific Northwest I enjoy outdoor activities such as hiking and playing American football. I also enjoy a great movie and exploring new adventures.

What I do in the CIE:

I am a member of our marketing department as a marketing associate, specializing in social media, video production, design and web design.

What I do in the CIE:

I'm the admissions and online advisor for the CIE office. I work with international students who are interested in attending South, and help them with the application process.

I'm a "cat person" who loves to bake, explore the outdoors, and discover new music.

What I do in the CIE:

As an Admissions Coordinator at the Center for International Education, I help international students who are interested in studying at South throughout the application process. I receive, process, and review new applications and help students submit the required documents for admission to South.

Activities you like to do with your free time:

Playing trivia and board games, reading, cooking, visiting museums and taking road trips.

What I do in the CIE:

I'm the Education Abroad Manager for the Center for International Education and also advise students in the Intensive English Program (IEP). I believe every student should have the opportunity to study abroad, and I'm committed to increasing access and diversity within the field of International Education. I advise study abroad students about program opportunities, application requirements, and funding options to ensure the best experience possible before students leave, while they are abroad, and once they return. I also advise IEP students about academics and adjusting to life in the U.S.

Activities you like to do with your free time:

In my free time, I enjoy cooking, road trips, music, and summers in Seattle.

What I do in the CIE:

Activities and Events Coordinator. I help organize new student orientation and fun activities sponsored by CIE throughout the quarter. I also assist with student services at the front desk alongside our student staff.

What I do in the CIE:

I'm an International Education Advisor who specializes in advising F-1 students on immigration issues: maintaining F-1 status, on-campus employment, CPT, OPT, and travel. She is responsible for maintaining and reporting data to SEVIS (Student and Exchange Visitor Information System) and coordinates the short term and contract programs for South.

I enjoy cooking, films, hiking and record collecting.

What I do in the CIE:

I provide academic advising to international students enrolled in college level programs and the Intensive English program, including assistance with selection of appropriate degrees and programs, preparation for specific majors and for university transfer, quarterly course selection and registration, academic planning and guidance on requirements for graduation and the high school completion program.

Traveling, reading, watching movies, and spending time with family.

What I do in the CIE:

I serve as an international student advisor by providing academic and immigration advising services. I assist students with initial adjustment to American academic life, academic planning and guidance on requirements for degree completion, and quarterly course selection/registration. My goal is to help students to recognize and achieve their educational goals at South and beyond.

Activities you like to do with your free time:

Travel, hiking, scuba diving, and movies.

What I do in the CIE:

Similar to the other advisors at the CIE office, I provide academic and immigration advising to international students. I advise students on selecting applicable classes, degrees, and/or programs in which the students are interested. I also hope to foster confidence in a student’s academic ability and social life while studying in the United States.

Activities you like to do with your free time:

Traveling; sports (watching and playing); hiking; watching television shows; playing guitar; longboard; and spending time with family and friends
