Company Tours
Company Tours are unique to South Seattle and are designed to introduce international students to the American business world by taking students on tours to several of Seattle top companies like Microsoft, Nordstrom, Boeing, and others…
Visit local Seattle companies and observe American work styles and environments while asking
questions about internships and jobs at these top companies.

Friendship Family Program
International students can meet SSCC staff and faculty through our Friendship Family program.
International students are invited to spend a holiday, have dinner or spend Christmas break with a Friendship Family.
Students who want to experience American life and culture but do not want to stay with a
host family can still experience American holidays, traditions and family life in this
short stay program.
The program is free to all international students. Students have the choice to decline or accept an offer. Hosting faculty and staff extend holiday and meals to International students at SSCC on a voluntary basis.

Language Partner Program (LPP)
The Language Partner Program (LPP) is designed to match American language partners with international students.
This program gives both American and International students an opportunity to make new friends and share culture and language exchange.
There are over 100 American and international students signed up for the LPP.
Language Partners meet weekly and monthly at the following locations:

Ask a Student Program
The Ask a Student or Student Ambassador program at South Seattle Community College is designed to assist students with questions prior to arrival in Seattle. Student Ambassadors can answer questions in their native language and tell the great story of life at SSCC from a students’ prospective.

South Seattle offers an active Student Life Program. Student Life offers leadership training, activities and the chance to make new friends.
University Tours
University Tours provide international students with the opportunity to tour most Washington based university campuses. Students can expect to visit public and private university campuses, ask questions to the university advisor on issues such as housing and scholarships and meet other university students BEFORE transferring to a university.
