Scholarships for Hospitality Students

Students who are applying for or have already been accepted to the Bachelor of Applied Science, four-year Hospitality Program are eligible to apply for a Foundation Scholarship.  Applicants could receive up to three quarters of pre-paid tuition. Get the Scholarship Application Packet (PDF).  Applications are due April 1, 2008.

Child Care Grants

SSCC students who are temporarily unable to pay for day care may be eligible for a one-time only, emergency Child Care grant.  To apply, contact Lisa Sever, Manager of Day Care Operations, at (206) 764-5384

Emergency Funds for Students

Students needing limited help on an emergency basis may receive an emergency grant for tuition, lab fees, or books.  Awards are made by a committee of college representatives, coordinated by Sharon Norman, Student Services 206-764-5195.

Foundation Scholarships

Students who are Washington state residents, have attended SSCC for at least one quarter, and are currently enrolled as full time students (12 credits or more), may apply for a SSCC Foundation scholarship.  Scholarships are awarded based on factors such as academic merit, financial need, program of study and school and community involvement.

Applications are due the last Monday in October and the first Monday in February each year, and provide up to three quarters of prepaid tuition. Download the application form and the one page letter of recommendation form.

High School Scholarships

The SSCC Foundation offers scholarships to graduating high school seniors to attend SSCC.

Applications are due the first Monday in March, and are available after the first of the year at the Development Office, at local high school counseling offices or you can download the application form.

Faculty Development Grants

Each quarter (fall, winter and spring), faculty may apply for a SSCC Foundation faculty develoment grant to pay for professional development activities such as conferences and workshops. Instructional Equipment

SSCC strives to offer training on the same state-of-the-art equipment currently used in business and industry. Gifts can be made to insure students receive the skills to be valuable employees in the "new workforce".
