South Seattle College Foundation Scholarships

Since 1980, the South Seattle College Foundation has been invested in student success at South. During these years, the Foundation has awarded thousands of scholarships to deserving students, helping them achieve their academic goals and progress toward stable and fulfilling careers.

Students may apply for a South Seattle College Foundation scholarship twice each year, during the fall and winter quarter scholarship application periods. Scholarships are awarded based on factors such as academic merit, financial need, program of study and school and community involvement, and provide between one and three quarters of prepaid tuition.

To apply, students must complete the online application, which requires information about the student's financial situation, work and school history, a personal statement and two recommendations, with at least one from a South instructor or staff member.

The scholarship application period for Fall Quarter 2017 is September 25th - October 30th, 2017. Students awarded scholarships in this round may use them as soon as Winter 2018 quarter, or hold them until the Spring or Fall.
