Special Instructions for Enrolling in the:
Worker Retraining Program
- If you are unemployed or facing a lay-off and interested in receiving career counseling, job search assistance, or vocational retraining, you may be eligible for Worker Retraining services.
The first step is to attend a Worker Retraining Orientation which is offered every Thursday at 1 p.m. followed by an intake interview. If you have questions regarding eligibility criteria, please call the office at (206) 764-5835
- Complete a Financial Aid application and, please keep the Worker Retraining Training Office advised of your progress. Coaching is provided regarding available funding for specific programs.
- Once approved for Worker Retraining funding at SSCC and after registering for classes, return to the Worker Retraining office to initiate the funding process. Bring your registration materials (computer print-out and stamped registration form). At that time you will receive instructions on how to obtain your Student ID and textbooks.
