Culinary Arts Instructional Tour
The Culinary Arts Department offers instructional tours during which prospective students can see the facilities, meet faculty, receive extensive printed material about the program and ask questions. (For online information about the program go to Culinary Arts web page.)
- Thursdays at 9:00 AM
Prospective students will be able to take an information tour
(approximately 1 hour) while classes are in session. Tours begin in the Culinary Arts Office, Cascade Court (CAS), room C.C. 112. (See campus map.) No appointment is needed. For any questions, special tour arrangements or to schedule an "Observation Day", please email awitt@sccd.ctc.edu.

The Saturday sessions
begin at 9:30 am sharp; other times are approximate. Hosted refreshments are supplied. Prospective students who wish to bring parents, spouses or significant others are welcome to do so. A staff member who can register and take tuition payment also participates in the Saturday sessions. A vast amount of printed materials is made available for attendees to take with them.

Overview of the two main Culinary Arts programs, Foods and
Pastry. |
9:45 am |
Faculty members lead tours of all labs and facilities used
in the program. There is one tour group for Foods and one for Pastry. There
is ample opportunity for prospective students to ask questions of the faculty
tour guides, and to receive verbal information about the programs. |
10:15am |
Tour groups reconvene, replenish their
refreshments, and a summary closing session is conducted. The mechanics
of entering the programs is discussed, suggestions are made of
other culinary schools that should be checked out, and a question and answer session ends the event. |
