The Landscape Horticulture Program now offers Landscape Horticulture students an opportunity to increase their plant knowledge while gaining retail experience. The plant sales will market the plant material students have selected, propagated, grown on and presented for sale. We will have unusual perennials, broadleaf and deciduous shrubs, some small trees, natives and house plants.

The Landscape Horticulture Program at South Seattle College is a vocational program offering a one-year certificate, an Associate of Applied Sciences degree, and training toward a number of professional certificates.
The program is housed on the edge of the Arboretum. Besides the Arboretum, the facilities include classrooms, a greenhouse, cold frames, a shade house and a retail garden center. See the Garden Center web page for plant sale schedule and hours.
Student projects have included the construction of large cold frames, the design of new gardens, the installation of gardens, the construction of hardscape features and irrigation systems, and garden renovations.
An example of a student's special project is the bridge designed, built and installed by student Chay Nuygen.
